Gary Mooney FlowMenu: Melbourne events discovery
FlowMenu answers a simple question: what’s on in Melbourne this week that I’d actually enjoy? It brings together events from across the city, works out what each one is really like, and ranks them against your preferences. It’s a solo side project that I design, build and run myself.
What it does
- Casts a wide net. It covers everything from small independent venues and council events to arts organisations and ticketed shows, so the smaller events don’t get lost.
- Describes each event. Every listing gets a short, consistent summary and category, so it’s easy to skim.
- Ranks to your taste. You can adjust your preferences in the settings and watch the list re-rank instantly.
- Makes it easy to plan. You can browse by day, by category, or on a map, with top picks highlighted for each night.
